The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer; (Proverbs 30:25)
Strength that is not well applied leads to waste and frustration. However, little strength which is acknowledge and well managed may lead to monumental success and advancement. The Bible says, “The strong are not always wise”. But the weak that is steady and focused will get results and accomplish goals.
Wisdom gives life a focus. The ants are weak and small, but they recognize their limitations. The ants may truly be called a people, as they have houses, towns, public roads, etc.; and shew their wisdom and prudence by preparing their meat in due season.
The ant has been famous in all ages for its social habits, foresight, economy and industry. Collecting their food at the proper seasons, they bite off the ends of the grain to prevent it from germinating, and lay it up in cells till needed.
They know they cannot do anything during the rain; therefore they prepare their food during the summer. They take maximum advantage of the summer in view of their inability to work in the winter. They do not allow any creatures to distract their attention. They stock pile on daily basis what they would need when it would be dangerous and difficult to get food.
Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. (Proverbs 6:6-8)
Are you wise as the ant? Do you recognize your weaknesses? Have you identified your limitations? How are you making efforts to overcome this limitations? Are you focused or you allow others to distract you attention?
Be like the ant, have a peep at the future, make plans today, prepare adequately for it, then steadily carry out your plans with the help of God. Every step you take today will lead you nearer to the achievement of your goals.
Prayer: Lord, turn my weakness to strength
